Pilgrimage of la Virgen de los Olmos Activity · Casa de Uceda, La Campiña, Guadalajara Image of Casa de Uceda, not of the place itself. Pilgrimage held on the third weekend of May to the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Olmos, patroness of Casa de Uceda (Guadalajara), located on the banks of the Jarama river, in the hills, about three kilometres from the village along a path. The hermitage, with a Latin-cross floor plan, dates from the 16th century and holds the image of the patroness. Traditionally the Virgin was brought to the village in August, where she remained until October, when the festive cycle is completed with the patronal festivities of September in her honour.
