Morteruelo and shepherd's migas Curiosity · Las Majadas, Serranía Alta, Cuenca Image of Las Majadas, not of the place itself. The cuisine of Las Majadas revolves around morteruelo, a stew made with sirloin, liver, chicken, rib, ham, lard, rabbit, breadcrumbs, paprika, cinnamon and clove, to which game meat is added. Migas de pastor are prepared with breadcrumbs, garlic, paprika, bacon fat and water, and are usually accompanied by grapes. Both dishes, together with lamb and game stews, are a direct legacy of the shepherding culture of the Cuenca mountains. Photo: Edmundo Sáez (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Las Majadas
