Bank of Vadocañas Nature · Villalpardo, La Manchuela Conquense, Cuenca Image of Villalpardo, not of the place itself. A stretch of the river Cabriel with clear waters, located about thirteen kilometres east of Villalpardo, beside the historic bridge of Vadocañas, which spans the river with a single arch of about 33 metres and is considered one of the largest bridges of its kind in Spain and Europe. Although popular tradition attributes a Roman origin to it, its present construction is documented as dating from the late 16th or early 17th century. The area, suitable for bathing owing to the clearness of its waters, forms part of the Hoces del Cabriel, a rugged natural landscape shaped over centuries by the river's course.
