Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Minglanilla Monument · Minglanilla, La Manchuela Conquense, Cuenca The parish church of Our Lady of the Assumption, in Minglanilla (Manchuela conquense, Cuenca), has a Latin-cross plan with a wide transept, a single nave and lateral bays before the crossing, covered with barrel vaults with lunettes and, at the crossing, a hemispherical dome on pendentives decorated with fluting. The first chapel on the right is the baptistery, separated from the nave by a wooden grille turned into small balls. Its Renaissance portal has pilasters on plinths framing a moulded round arch, a plain frieze and cornice, pinnacles and Herrerian balls. The tower, of four tiers on a raised plinth, is set into the temple's south-west corner and finishes with a cornice of the type known as “pigeon breast”.
