The Festival of the Virgin of Romeral in Hontecillas (the Manchuela Conquense, Cuenca) has its big day on 15 August, with the procession in honour of the patroness. The verbenas (open-air dances) start on 13 or 14 August depending on the year, and the traditional calderetas (stew) contest is held on the 16th or 17th, closing the festive programme.
