The Sierra del Castellar and Sierra Gorda are quartzite hills that frame the municipal area of Cabezarados (Valle de Alcudia, Ciudad Real) between the Campo de Calatrava and the Valle de Alcudia, covered with holm oak woods and scrubland. A watchtower and a fortified settlement once stood on them, of which nothing remains standing today.
