Saffron milk-caps and mushrooms of the sierra

The patches of pine wood and the rockrose scrub of Sierra Madrona give saffron milk caps in autumn and thistle and poplar mushrooms in spring. They are stewed with garlic and paprika or sautéed with sausage, and they sustain a deeply rooted family gathering.
