The Día del Río is a distinctive tradition of El Robledo, in the Montes de Ciudad Real, celebrated every 31 December. On that winter day, residents bathe in the río Bullaque and recreational activities are held on its banks. The day began as a celebration of the recovery of the Bullaque's flow, which had remained almost dry for years, and has become a popular occasion on which the village sees out the year.
