El Robledo, in the district of the Montes de Ciudad Real, commemorates the Día de la Independencia every 3 September, in memory of its separation from the municipality of Porzuna in 1985. The town council distributes a traditional stew among residents and visitors, served on the banks of the river, and the day continues with dancing, performances and live music well into the night, one of the most notable dates on the local festive calendar.
