Roman bridge over the Záncara Monument · Pedro Muñoz, La Mancha, Ciudad Real Image of Pedro Muñoz, not of the place itself. Bridge of Roman origin over the river Záncara, in the municipal district of Pedro Muñoz (La Mancha, Ciudad Real), a testimony to the ancient roads that crossed the Manchegan plain. It formed part of the Roman road that linked Complutum (Alcalá de Henares) with Carthago Nova, one of the two major roads that crossed the area in Antiquity, since the road linking Corduba with Tarraco also ran nearby.
