The municipal area of Arenales de San Gregorio is almost entirely covered by vineyards protected under the La Mancha Denomination of Origin, dotted with olive groves grown for olives and oil, cereals -mainly wheat and barley- and melon fields. The municipality's economy rests basically on this primary sector, complemented by a wine cooperative, itself integrated into the La Mancha Denomination of Origin, which processes the local grapes.
