La Peña and the Sierra del Tesoro are the heights that enclose the valley where Picón sits, at 603 metres above sea level, next to the settlement of Las Peñuelas. La Peña rises to the north of the village and the Sierra del Tesoro to the west, while to the south the valley is closed off by the Cerro de Castillejo.
