Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Miguelturra Monument · Miguelturra, Campo de Calatrava, Ciudad Real Image of Miguelturra, not of the place itself. A Gothic-Renaissance temple from the 15th and 16th centuries that holds the oldest retable in the province, dating from the mid-16th century. Of the original building an apse in Gothic style transitioning to Renaissance survives, and alongside the main retable it houses other Baroque retables. In the 18th century a barrel vault and several chapels were added, and the bell tower has been rebuilt more than once. Photo: Javier martin (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Miguelturra
