A carnival declared Fiesta de Interés Turístico Regional (a festival of regional tourist interest) in 1983 and Fiesta de Interés Turístico Nacional (a festival of national tourist interest) on 8 February 2018, famous for its street mask. Its central moment is Shrove Tuesday, when thousands of people from all over Spain fill the streets, the parks and Miguelturra's Palacio del Carnaval C.E.R.E., considered one of the best in Castilla-La Mancha.
