Festivities of San Agustín de Fernán Caballero Activity · Fernán Caballero, Campo de Calatrava, Ciudad Real Image of Fernán Caballero, not of the place itself. The festivities of San Agustín in Fernán Caballero (Ciudad Real) are held at the end of August, with the main day on the 30th, when the fernanduco-style bull runs take place: two fighting bulls, usually from local herds, run a V-shaped route through the streets, so that runners cross paths face to face with one bull while fleeing the other, in a festival lasting up to two hours. The bull run dates back to 1850, one of the oldest in the province along with that of Almodóvar del Campo; it was first advertised in the Pamplona style and took on its current name in 1989. In 2012 it was declared Fiesta de Interés Turístico Regional de Castilla-La Mancha (a festival declared of regional tourist interest in Castilla-La Mancha). 26 al 31 de agosto Photo: B25es (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Fernán Caballero
