The church of Nuestra Señora de la Anunciación, the parish church and main religious building of Corral de Calatrava, in the Campo de Calatrava, was built in the late 15th century in Gothic-Mudejar style. During the patronal festivities in honour of the Virgen de la Paz, her image is carried to the church from the hermitage where she is normally venerated. In 2013 it was the target of a robbery when seven residents of the town and of Puertollano broke into the church and stole several jewels from the image.
