Palace of la Serna Monument · Ballesteros de Calatrava, Campo de Calatrava, Ciudad Real Former possession of the Orden de Calatrava in Ballesteros de Calatrava, restored as a hotel and venue with an art collection. After the disentailment of Mendizábal it passed to the mining industrialist Francisco Pérez Crespo; his niece Anastasia Ochoa Pérez built the palace on the former site of the military order. The property changed hands among several families, among them the Enríquez de Salamanca, until in 1993 it was acquired by the Sánchez-Bermejo Espinosa family, who opened it as a hotel in 1995 and turned it into a five-star establishment on reaching, in 2006, the categoría de Primera de Castilla-La Mancha.
