The church of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación de Ballesteros de Calatrava is the parish temple of the town, in the comarca of Campo de Calatrava, possibly dating, like the town itself, from the 14th century. Part of it collapsed and was rebuilt in 1861; of the original construction only the polygonal apse head is preserved, in a single-nave building. The plateresque doorway displays medallions of San Pedro and San Pablo, candelieri and a pointed arch with archaic features, and the whole shows a strong Mudéjar influence, also visible in the remains of coffered ceiling inside. Some images from this parish are today kept in the Museo Diocesano de Ciudad Real.
