The ermita de los Santos Mártires, from the 16th century, stands within the municipal boundary of Argamasilla de Calatrava, in the comarca of Campo de Calatrava. It was built during a period of population growth, when the town had around 600 households, the same period in which other shrines in the municipality were raised, such as those of San Sebastián, la Virgen del Socorro, Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza and San Cristóbal.
