The pilgrimage of Santa Mónica is celebrated in late August in Balazote (Sierra de Alcaraz and Campo de Montiel, Albacete), in honour of the town's patroness. It consists of climbing to the hermitage located on the hill that bears her name, where mass is celebrated along with the traditional distribution of small loaves blessed by the saint.
