Church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios de Hoya-Gonzalo Monument · Hoya-Gonzalo, Monte Ibérico-Corredor de Almansa, Albacete The church of Our Lady of the Remedies in Hoya-Gonzalo was built during the reign of Philip III, between 1590 and 1621, in Renaissance style, with a basilical floor plan and round arches. The central nave is covered with sail vaults, the crossing with a dome, and the chancel and choir with a barrel vault. It holds a Baroque main altarpiece from the early 17th century, an 18th-century Neoclassical sculpture of the patron saint, and other religious pieces from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Its tower, built later, was completed in 1929 thanks to the efforts of a priest from Murcia, Antonio Murandi. Photo: Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA) What to see and do in Hoya-Gonzalo
