The hermitage of la Concepción de Villamalea, in La Manchuela (Albacete), stands in the centre of the town and is well preserved; it is the oldest building in the town centre. Chronicles place its construction at the start of the last third of the 16th century. Inside it retains the original structure of the roofing, which forms a wooden coffered ceiling.
