Hermitage of Santa Ana de Cenizate Monument · Cenizate, La Manchuela, Albacete The hermitage of Santa Ana, dedicated to the mother of the Virgin, stands on a plot of about 10,000 square metres planted with pines on the outskirts of Cenizate, declared together with the hermitage itself a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) in 1991. The building, from the 18th century and Baroque in style, has a single nave with lunettes —28 metres long by 6 wide— and a small transept topped by a dome with pictorial decoration and the tetramorph on the pendentives, a motif repeated in the vault of the presbytery. The wooden altarpiece and the image of the saint are of modern workmanship. The entrance doorway, lintelled and heavily whitewashed, is protected by a covered atrium.
