The Júcar river crosses the municipal area of Villalgordo del Júcar, in the comarca of La Mancha del Júcar-Centro, forming a fertile plain surrounded by pine groves and dry-farmed fields. The land bathed by the river is sandstone, loose and of poor agricultural quality in this area, and a bridge eases its crossing next to the town.
