The chapel of la Fuente, in Fuensanta (La Mancha del Júcar-Centro, Albacete), is a small building located in the old orchards of the convent, at the spot where tradition places the Marian apparition of 1482, beside a spring or source that became known as fuente santa (holy spring) and gave the village its name. It is an object of great devotion among the population. Around this religious episode grew the settlement, which went from a small hermitage to becoming an independent town in 1672.
