Risco de La Mérica

A cliff where, in July 1999, a team from the Universidad de La Laguna rediscovered a small population of the giant lizard of La Gomera (Gallotia bravoana), believed extinct. It survives there today, at 600 metres above sea level, alongside a captive-bred population.
