Villalba de Perejil

Villalba de Perejil is a small municipality in the region of the Community of Calatayud, in the province of Zaragoza, with 86 inhabitants, situated on the slope of a hill on the left bank of the river, at about 630 metres of altitude. In the mid-19th century it had 75 inhabitants and was already described in Pascual Madoz's geographical-statistical-historical Dictionary. Until the reform of municipal names in 1916 it was called simply Villalba, the year in which it added the byname 'de Perejil'.
