Of the original mudéjar fabric only the tower survives, built of brick, with three square-plan tiers and a fourth octagonal one; the current temple, in the shape of a Latin cross, with a single nave and a flat chancel with chapels between the buttresses, was built by Juan Segura in the second half of the 17th century. The altarpieces date from the 17th century; in the 18th century the Chapel of the Rosary was opened, paid for by the Martínez family, and the altarpiece of the Virgen del Pilar bears the coat of arms of the Chapter, adopted as the municipal coat of arms. The Chapel of Santa Ana, belonging to the Muñoz de Pamplona-Funes family, is today a parish museum. Inside the temple a splinter of the Lignum Crucis is venerated.
