Talamantes sits at 924 m of altitude, at the confluence of the Valdeherrera and Valdetreviño ravines, at the foot of the Peñas de Herrera and within the Parque Natural del Moncayo. The village, with its steep layout and vernacular architecture, offers one of the finest viewpoints over the massif.
