Church of Tabuenca Monument · Tabuenca, Campo de Borja, Zaragoza Parish church of San Juan Bautista de Tabuenca, at the foot of the sierra de Tabuenca, in Gothic-Renaissance style and built in the 16th century. It is reached by a broad staircase that offers a distinctive view of the building. It has a single nave covered with a star-ribbed vault and a square tower with Mudéjar decoration topped by an octagonal upper section. In the 18th century it was thoroughly remodelled: the temple was reoriented and a new transept and choir were added. In 1808, during the Peninsular War, French troops set it on fire and destroyed a large part of its artistic and documentary treasures. Photo: Alehadero (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Tabuenca
