Church of Mequinenza

The parish church of Mequinenza, dedicated to Our Lady of the Angels, stands on the shore of the Ribarroja reservoir. Charles IV authorized its construction in 1802, to a design by the architect José de Yarza in Renaissance style; work began the following year and continued until 1808. The municipality also preserved two other chapels, the hermitage of the saints Cosme and Damián and the hermitage of Santa Agatoclia.
