Historic Ensemble of La Iglesuela del Cid Monument · La Iglesuela del Cid, Maestrazgo, Teruel The historic ensemble of La Iglesuela del Cid, one of the best preserved in the Maestrazgo, was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) in 1982 for preserving a notable civil and religious heritage that exemplifies Aragonese architecture from the Middle Ages onward. Among its manor houses, the former town hall stands out, dating from the late 15th or early 16th century, with a sober façade, a portico of three pointed arches and two Gothic twin windows. The Casa de Blinque has a singular portico on a quadrangular pillar dated 1729, with an arch bearing the Templar emblem of the tau, and the Matutano-Daudén palace preserves a monumental double staircase with a lattice balustrade, typical of the 18th-century manor houses of the Maestrazgo.
