Hermitage of Andorra Monument · Andorra, Andorra-Sierra de Arcos, Teruel Andorra preserves two hermitages: that of the Virgen del Pilar, with a 12th-century Romanesque core and Gothic alterations from the 14th to the 16th centuries, consisting of a rectangular nave divided into five bays; and that of San Macario, from the 18th century, on the mountain of the same name. The hermitage of the Virgen del Pilar is covered with ribbed vaults and its keystones bear the coats of arms of the Zaragoza prelates from the various periods of construction, while the corbels are decorated with plant motifs from the local flora. Beneath the wooden upper choir, lit by an oculus, is the doorway, flanked by a continuous bench. The very plain façade has a semicircular arch topped by a large oculus and a small bell-gable.
