Lascellas Village · Lascellas-Ponzano, Somontano de Barbastro, Huesca Image of Lascellas-Ponzano, not of the place itself. Lascellas is a village of the municipality of Lascellas-Ponzano, in the Huesca comarca of Somontano de Barbastro, whose place name also appears written as Las Cellas. In the mid-19th century, when it still had its own town council, it recorded 291 inhabitants; it merged administratively with Ponzano between 1960 and 1970 to form the present municipality of Lascellas-Ponzano, and today has 43 inhabitants. It preserves the restored hermitages of San Miguel and San Antón, and every 8 December holds the Desfile de los Descalzos, a medieval vow linked to a plague epidemic.
