The Plaza Mayor of Olivares, with the Colegiata de Santa María de las Nieves (raised to collegiate status in 1623 by papal bull) and the Palace of the Count-Duke (16th century), was declared a conjunto histórico-artístico by Decree 1946/1971, of 22 July (Official State Gazette of 17 August 1971).
