A roughly 7-kilometre walkway hung along the walls of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes gorge, originally opened in the reign of Alfonso XIII to serve the Guadalhorce hydroelectric works. After years closed due to deterioration, it reopened to the public in 2015 following a full restoration and is today one of the most visited hiking routes in Spain.
