Roman city on the outskirts of Ronda, at its height in the late 1st century, whose rock-cut theatre is its best-preserved feature. The archaeological site was declared Monumento Histórico-Artístico (Spain's heritage designation in force between 1931 and 1985) on 10 April 1981, and is today Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection).
