Iglesia de Santa María (ruinas) Monument · Cazorla, Sierra de Cazorla, Jaén Renaissance church attributed to Andrés de Vandelvira, built over the bed of the Cerezuelo river. It was left in ruins after the fire set by French troops in 1811, on top of damage from a flood in 1694. Its "glorious plateresque ruins" were included in the 1972 decree declaring Cazorla's historic centre a conjunto histórico-artístico, and today host outdoor cultural events.
