Mudejar church built between 1557 and 1563 on the foundations of a former mosque; the moriscos burned it down just after its completion, during the Alpujarras rebellion. It preserves an 18th-century altarpiece with the image of Saint John the Baptist, a work by the Granada sculptor José Risueño.
