Conquista y cautiverio de Alamedilla

Alamedilla was conquered by the Christians in December 1489, during the War of Granada. Years later, in 1569, during the Alpujarras rebellion, rebel Moriscos went so far as to capture townspeople of Alamedilla who were working the land within the municipal term.
