Between 1950 and 1954 bell-beaker vessels were found on the El Bramadero estate, 2 km from the village, now on display at the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Córdoba; the municipal term also preserves remains of Roman villae and an oil amphora production center at the Cortijo La Corregidora.
